“Everyone who dies from the Coronavirus should be autopsied,” says Peer Kåre Lilleng, who is a professor of forensic medicine. He believes it will give us more knowledge.
According to VG, very few of those who die are autopsied.
According to Lilleng, who works at the University of Bergen, autopsies will be able to find out what properties the virus has, how it behaves in the human body and possibly how it changes.
– Autopsy is the key when people die, he emphasizes.
The forensic pathologist also says that any requisition for an autopsy must be completed by agreement with relatives.
