Punctuality: 92.7% of trains on Norwegian railways were on schedule last year
A total of 92.7% of the trains on Norwegian railways were on schedule in 2020.
In comparison, the punctuality of Norwegian trains amounted to 89.2% and 88.7% in 2019 and 2018, respectively.
According to Bane Nor, the increased punctuality is due to fewer travelers during the corona pandemic, maintenance work, and better weather.
“It is gratifying for the travelers, for the train companies, and for us.
“Nevertheless, we must emphasize that the coronavirus crisis has led to fewer passengers in 2020, which has affected the statistics,” Executive Vice President Sverre Kjenne in Bane Nor said in a press release.
