The “rainbow telephone line opened on Monday. The initiative aims to create good conversations and counteract loneliness among queer adults.

The rainbow telephone is an initiative for people throughout Norway.

It is run by the Association for Transgender People in Norway, HivNorge, Bamseklubben, Skeiv Verden in Oslo and Viken, and Fri in Oslo and Viken.

Fri Oslo and Viken manage the initiative.

“Social gatherings and safe meeting places are some of the most important things we offer, and in a new reality with closed doors, we had to think differently.

“Fortunately, we had already planned a new offer before the corona pandemic occurred – a telephone line project for adult lesbians, gays, bi / pan, interpersonal, and trans people,” leader Nils Erik Aasen Flatø in Fri Oslo and Viken said in a press release.
