Record number of accidents with electric scooters in August

235 people were treated for electric scooter injuries in August, according to figures from the emergency room in Oslo. That is 41 more than in July.

On average, the emergency room thus treated 7.7 injuries per day in August, writes Aftenposten.

This is an increase of almost 100 percent compared to the same month last year.

According to the emergency room, 10 percent of the injuries are serious. 30 percent are considered moderate injuries, while 60 percent of the injuries are considered “minor”.

The average age of the injured is 29 years. Six out of ten are women.
