Reindeer herder goes missing in Finnmark. The temperature in the search area is between -15 and -20 degrees

A reindeer herder in his 20s is missing in Tanadalen in Finnmark. No one has heard from the man since Thursday afternoon. It is very cold in the area.

The police, in collaboration with the Rescue coordination center – Northern Norway, launched a search operation after they were notified of the missing person at 7:20 PM on Thursday night.

“The relatives reported it. They last had contact with him at 5:00 PM when he called them and told them that he did not know where he was,” operations manager Stein Hugo Jørgensen in Finnmark Police District told news bureau NTB.

According to the police, the temperature in the search area is between minus 15 and minus 20 degrees.

The police, volunteers from the Red Cross and the Civil Defense, two air ambulance helicopters, and the Rescue coordination center are assisting in the search.
