The remains of Maja Justyna Herner (25) from Poland were found in the mountain terrain above Ørsta on 5 June. She had been missing since November 2018.

Møre and Romsdal police districts were informed on Tuesday from Oslo University Hospital that the DNA analysis confirms secure identity. Relatives and the Polish Embassy have been notified.

The crew will now be back in the area on Wednesday, says Chief of Staff Kenneth Sætre in the Møre og Romsdal Police District.

In that case, searches will be conducted in a very rocky area and in an area that was previously under snow in the Nivane mountain range.

The search for Polish Herner has been going on since she was reported missing on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. She was last seen at a grocery store in Ørsta at 13.30 the same day.
