There is a danger of high air pollution in traffic areas in Bergen over the next few days. Residents in certain risk groups are encouraged to follow health advice.
Tuesday and Wednesday there is a danger of moderate air pollution, partly due to low winds, while there will probably be periods of high air pollution on Thursday to Saturday, Bergen city council reports.
People with asthma, chronic respiratory disorders and cardiovascular disease are encouraged to spend less time outdoors in the areas most polluted.
The municipality has requested that the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the Port of Bergen monitor the development, and assess measures in accordance with the municipality’s emergency plan.
