On Sunday, Belarus confirmed that Russian forces would conduct several military exercises with their Belarusian counterparts.
The decision is due to increased military activity along the countries’ borders and “escalation” in eastern Ukraine.
Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin confirmed the news in a statement.
