The ship Havila Capella has been stuck in Bergen since last Tuesday. According to the plan, a new trip should take place on Saturday, but it is still uncertain.

“We are working on the case and aim to be able to sail on Saturday,” communications manager in Havila Kystruten, Lasse Vangstein, told the newspaper Bergensavisen.

The ship is stranded in Bergen due to the sanctions against Russia, which according to the company, have created uncertainty about the insurance coverage.

The Norwegian authorities believe that the ship’s insurance is subject to sanctions against the Russian leasing company.

The ship is scheduled to continue sailing with 179 passengers on Saturday but is still waiting for clarification from the Norwegian authorities. The company says it will make a decision on what happens to the planned voyage on Thursday to ensure predictability for its passengers.
