Bernie Sanders is most popular among the 68 Norwegian elected officials who have chosen to answer which presidential candidate they prefer.

Klassekampen has asked all 169 representatives of Parliament the following question: “Who is your favorite US presidential candidate?”

Of the 154 representatives who answered the question, 29 selected the Vermont senator. Among them; sixteen from the Labor Party and ten from the Socialist Left Party. Sanders is also a favorite of Rødts Bjørnar Moxnes, Carl-Erik Grimstad of the Left and the Center Party’s Liv Signe Navarsete.

In addition, Peter Buttigieg is also popular, with twenty representatives – including ten from the Right – that have selected the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Eleven representatives selected former Vice President Joe Biden, and seven to Elizabeth Warren, four to Michael Bloomberg, three to Amy Klobuchar and two to Tom Steyer.

Eight representatives have selected two candidates and are thus counted twice in the newspaper’s overview of the support the candidates receive.

Eight representatives, all from the Progressive Party, have President Donald Trump as their favorite.

There are also several Parliamentary representatives who will not answer the question directly or select a favorite.
