Sandnes: 11 out of 13 of the newly infected are between 10 and 20 years old

13 cases of infection have been registered in Sandnes in the last 24 hours, of which eleven are between 10 and 20 years old. In Stavanger, seven out of eight new cases are related to russefeiring, the traditional celebration for Norwegian high school pupils in their final spring semester.

In Sola, four new cases have been confirmed. Two of these are russ participants, newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad writes.

After six cases of infection were registered among russ participants in Nord-Jæren on Monday, the russ organizers chose to put the celebration on hold until May 13.

The number of infection cases in Sandnes in the last 24 hours is the highest since April 4, according to newspaper Aftenbladet.

The regional measures in Sola, Randaberg, Sandnes, and Stavanger will remain in force until May 6.
