A 37-year-old man has been charged with two attempted murders after he deliberately drove into another car on the E6 in Sarpsborg in February last year.

The accused man from Fredrikstad was driving at a speed of over 180 kilometers per hour when he crashed into another car on the E6 through Østfold on the morning of February 25 last year.

According to the indictment, he tried to kill his wife and another woman by deliberately driving into another car on the highway. While his spouse recovered from the collision with minor injuries, the female driver of the other car suffered serious head injuries.

“She survived but suffered a fracture of the skull with meningeal hemorrhage. As of December 31, 2021, she was still 100% on sick leave,” the indictment states.
