A SAS captain from Drammen has been sentenced to four months in prison after flying several flights with an above blood alcohol level last year.

The man first flew from Kristiansand to Oslo and then on to Stavanger, writes Drammens Tidende.

He had a blood alcohol level of 0.5 when he boarded the first plane and 0.2 when he arrived in Stavanger, according to the verdict.

– It is frustrating that the accused was the captain, and thus had the overall responsibility, including for safety, it is stated in the judgment from the district court.

The SAS captain confessed and accepted the sentence of 120 days in prison.
