SAS had 2% more passengers in April than in March this year, but the corona pandemic is still weighing air traffic down.

Around 320,000 air passengers flew with SAS in April. In the same month two years ago, there were 2.2 million passengers on the SAS aircraft.

Like the rest of the global aviation industry, SAS has been hit hard by the pandemic due to the travel restrictions that have been introduced to curb the spread of infection.

But corona vaccines are seen as the solution to a long and challenging period.

“We have noticed that the willingness to book trips is strongly related to the level of vaccination and relaxation of travel restrictions,” SAS’s acting CEO Karl Sandlund said.
