Another person was found dead in the landslide area in Gjerdrum on Sunday afternoon. Thus, a total of seven people have been confirmed dead.
The latest person was found at 5:27 PM on Sunday.
“The person was confirmed dead on the spot. The person in question was found based on the cooperation between the police intelligence assessments, the police dogs, and USAR crews,” police task leader Bjørn Christian Willersrud said at a press briefing at 7:00 PM on Sunday.
“It is very demanding to work in the landslide area. We are still in an active search for survivors and will continue the search throughout the evening and night,” Willersrud said.
Three people are still missing after the landslide that took place in Gjerdrum on the night of December 30.
