On Wednesday morning, 541 people were in quarantine after a new corona outbreak in Oslo. The actual number is probably even higher.

Jorunn Thaulow, assistant district chief physician in Vestre Aker, confirmed the information to the newspaper Avisa Oslo.

In the last 24 hours, 140 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Oslo. The cases are related to five different russ buses, and almost all upper secondary schools in western Oslo are affected.

Russefeiring is the traditional celebration for Norwegian high school pupils in their final spring semester.

“Yesterday, we had a total of 58 cases of infection among russ participants, but from this morning, we have 62 new tests that have not yet been mapped. Most of these are probably also russ participants,” she said.
