Several people who are long-term sick with the coronavirus believe that the Swedish health service does not believe in them, the covid association warns.

“We have members who are getting everything from mental diagnoses in their medical records to those being sent to a psychologist or psychiatrist,” Åsa Kristoferson Hedlund, leader of the Swedish covid association, said.

According to the association, several of their members also experience that the health service downplays their health problems.

The National Board of Health and Welfare said it was working to investigate the case.

“I think it might have been so in some cases when people didn’t have enough knowledge about the disease.

“But I also believe that everyone out there has done their best based on the limited knowledge that they had,” Thomas Lindén at the National Board of Health and Welfare said.
