Several thousand people in Eastern Norway are still without electricity

On Tuesday morning, many people were still without electricity in Eastern Norway.

On Tuesday night, several thousand electricity customers in Viken and Innlandet were left without electricity due to power lines breaking under heavy snow. 

According to Elvia’s overview, many customers were still without electricity on Tuesday morning.

Situation in Hurdal

Hurdal Municipality is worst affected, with 712 customers without electricity. 

During Tuesday night, there were up to 1,775 customers without electricity in the municipality.

In Elverum Municipality, there were 352 customers without electricity on Tuesday morning. 

In Bærum, 88 customers were affected. In Asker and Oslo, 89 and 81 customers were without electricity, respectively. 

Strong wind and a lot of snow

There are reports of trees blocking roadways or trees in danger of falling down all over Eastern Norway.

The road traffic control center asks people to be careful and drive carefully.
