A man in his 70s who became seriously ill with Covid-19 experienced improvement after treatment with blood plasma, writes the Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association.

This is the first description in Norway of a patient who received treatment with so-called reconvalescence plasma at Haugesund hospital, writes the Journal.

This method involves treating a sick patient with blood plasma from blood donors who have already undergone disease and who have produced antibodies to the disease.
