A total of 14 corona-infected patients were admitted to Ålesund Hospital on Monday. Eleven of the patients were admitted during the weekend.
Most of the inpatients are unvaccinated, the newspaper Romsdals Budstikke writes.
If the trend continues, the hospital fears that it can have consequences for the other patients.
“We know how resource-intensive these patients are, and we fear that this may have consequences for the planned treatment of those who may have waited for a long time,” director Torstein Hole said.
Four of the admitted patients are in intensive care, and all of them are unvaccinated.
