Shipbroker Hans Herman Horn (84) has quadrupled his support for a journalism project on the Norwegian Military.

– Of course the intention is to make politicians come to their senses. Norwegian forces own old frigates which are not sailing and F-16 aircrafts so damaged that they are only once in a while able to take to the skies. Politicians should place a much greater importance on the ability to defend Norwegian citizens, says Horn to newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.

The newspaper has previously written about journalist Kjetil Stormark’s project “Norway’s defense capability” and the website aldrimer.no, which has received a total of NOK 10.5 million from Hans Herman Horn, Erling Lorentzen, Leif Høegh Foundation, the Steensland fund, Eckbo’s legacy and Christen Sveaas.

– Kjetil Stormark and the people that he employs will just focus on the facts, Horn  says and emphasizes that he does not want to control or influence the editor.
