The Singapore presidential couple Tony Tan Keng Yam and Mary Tan will be in Norway for a visit on October 10th.
– The aim of the visit will be to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the maritime and offshore industries but also in education and research. Arctic issues will also be a part of discussion during the visit, according to a press release from the Foreign Ministry.
The president and his wife will be officially welcomed by the royal couple at the Palace, where among other things, a gala dinner is on the program.
Singapore’s Norwegian companies are main gateway to the emerging markets in Asia. Over 250 Norwegian companies are established in the country.
State visit ends in Tromsø in the afternoon of October 12th.
