Former FRP leader Siv Jensen wants to write an autobiography about her life and political career. She will begin working on the book during the summer.

Jensen resigned this spring after fifteen years as leader of the Progress Party. During these years, Jensen, among other things, took the FRP into government for the first time in the party’s history.

In addition, she was the country’s Minister of Finance for seven years in Erna Solberg’s government. She also has 24 years behind her as a parliamentary representative.

“The goal is to write an easy-to-read and cheerful book that most people can enjoy,” Jensen said in a press release from Kagge publishing house, which will publish the book.

Joint effort

The book will be written in collaboration with journalist and author Gunnar Ringheim, who has previously published a book on the history of the Progress Party.

“Jensen has had a unique, long, and exciting career in Norwegian politics, and her biography will be an important contribution to our contemporary history,” Tuva Ørbeck Sørheim, a publisher in Kagge, said.

Jensen and Ringheim will start their work during the summer.
