FRP leader Siv Jensen takes a jab at the concepts such as shaming people for flying and eating meat. She thinks it is the Left’s attempt to impose a new modesty law on us.

“The last thing we need to feel is shame. We are ashamed to use our cars. We should be ashamed of eating meat. We are ashamed to fly on holiday. We should be ashamed of the oil venture. We should be ashamed of our daily lives,” Jensen said when she gave a party lecture at the Literary House on Tuesday.

She continued

“This is socialism in new clothes. A collective sentiment meant to guide our choices. This shame is the Left’s attempt to impose a new law of modesty on people’s ordinary lives and way of life,” Jensen said.

She stated that shame has never solved any problems and said that it is not shame that makes cars more environmentally friendly or that aircraft use less fuel than before.

“These are the benefits that make people change their choices. When technology has come and proved useful in people’s everyday lives, people have chosen electric cars. When we reduced the fees, more people could afford an environmentally friendly car,” she said.
