On Monday a comprehensive trial, with six people being accused of smuggling several large parties of hashish across the border to Norway, starts at Oslo District Court.
Indictments are somewhat different for each of the men, but they are considered to be an organized group of drug smugglers. Police believe the crimes committed group including being responsible for a smuggling attempt in spring 2014 when 42 kg of pot was attempted brought by car from Sweden to Norway. However, the attempt was stopped by Norwegian police at the border, and the car was seized by Swedish customs authorities.
The case also includes a smuggling attempt of 106 kg of hashish from the Netherlands to Norway.
One of the men has, in addition to being charged with smuggling, also been charged with the possession and delivery of proceeds of over 600,000 NOK for drug sales.
The case will continue until 6 September.
