On Saturday morning, the police were notified of the discovery of a lifeless person in a lake in Skien. The person has been confirmed dead, the police report.
Police, health services, and firefighters moved out to Klosterfoss in Skien on Saturday morning after a report that a lifeless person was found in the water, the Southeastern Police District announced on Twitter.
Task leader Sondre Dahl in the police told the newspaper Varden that the person was found dead. The person in question, a woman, was transported ashore, and the relatives have been notified.
“There is no indication that anything criminal has happened,” Dahl told Varden.
The police were notified of the person in the water at 07:45 AM.
“We are on our way to the site and are working to locate and verify the information. We have many emergency services on the way,” operations manager Espen Reite told the newspaper VG at the time.
