Slippery roads and closed mountain passes reported in several places in the country

Bad weather and slippery roads caused accidents in several places in the country. Several mountain passes are closed, and the police are asking people to drive carefully.

There are slippery roads in Trøndelag, Vegtrafikksentralen warns. It asks people to adjust their speed to the conditions and drive carefully.

There have already been several traffic accidents in the county on Tuesday, including on county road 708 Hølondvegen by Eidsmoan in Melhus. There, the road is slippery, according to the police in Trøndelag.

The police in Innlandet also stated that the roads were slippery in several places. On national road 15 in Vågå, a car drove into a ditch at 6 o’clock on Tuesday morning. No one was seriously injured. At 8:30 AM, a car drove into a lamppost at Chausseen in Løten. No one was injured in the incident, but the roads are very slippery.

On county road 55, Sognefjellet is closed due to the weather. A new assessment will be made on Friday, according to Vegtrafikksentralen vest.

On the E6 in Nordland, Saltfjellet is also closed due to bad weather.
