A Polish driver (41) was caught transporting 2,000 liters of alcohol by customs officials at Ostby customs office in Trysil in Hedmark on Monday. The value of the haul amounted to 190,000 million in unpaid taxes, according to Customs Administration.
The van was equipped with Norwegian plates and the driver was driving on County Road 208 at Skjærberget on Monday morning. The original Polish signs were found inside the car.
The 41-year-old admitted that the car was loaded with alcohol and the Customs Administration reports that they have confiscated 1848 liters of beer and 206 liters of spirits. The driver was handed over to the police.
