Customs in Kongsvinger caught a man (30) with 83,000 cigarettes and over two kilograms of tobacco in the car.
The cigarettes were found in a Swedish-registered Volvo V40 on Monday night at Aurskog-Holand, Customs said.
The driver of the car was an Iraqi citizen living in Italy.
The confiscation by Customs amounts to 278.000 kroner in fees.
