On Thursday, up to half a meter of snow is expected in some areas at altitudes of over 400 meters in Telemark and Agder. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning.

“From 20 to 50 cm of snow is expected locally at altitudes of over 400 to 600 meters. Use the right tires and drive according to the conditions,” the meteorologists wrote on Twitter.

“At an altitude of around 300 meters, the precipitation will alternate between rain, sleet, and snow, so there could also be difficult conditions in those places,” on-duty meteorologist Ingrid Bentsen told Fædrelandsvennen.

A yellow danger warning has also been issued for Thursday and Friday in the west of Akershus and in Buskerud.

From 5 to 15 centimeters of snow is expected at altitudes from 100 to 300 meters.
