A man in his 20s from Sogn is accused of obtaining sexualized images from 19 children aged 7 to 15 years.

The man, who has been in custody for over a year, is charged with assaulting 18 boys and one girl.

The criminal offenses are said to have taken place online via Tiktok and Snapchat. The man got in touch with the children through the game Fortnite, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.

“He is quite good in the game, and many younger people admired him and wanted to get to know him better,” police lawyer Sissel Kleiven in the Western Police District told NRK during the investigation of the case last year.

The man is said to have made the children commit sexual acts on themselves and then send pictures and videos of the acts to him.

According to the indictment, he sometimes pretended to be an 11-year-old girl.
