Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) headed out for Saturday’s parade in the pride event “Stavanger at the queer level”.

Solberg was one of several thousands who waved the rainbow flag and showed support for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender (LHBT).

“I’m totally speechless. This has exceeded all expectations,” says Daniel Bøhn Rayner, Festival Manager, Stavanger Aftenblad. He estimates that close to 5,000 people took part in the parade, which went from the concert hall to the City Park.

Also Mayor Christine Sagen Helgø (H) led the parade together with Solberg and Rayner.
