Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) will travel to Lithuania at the end of next week, where she will meet, among other things, the country’s prime minister.

This is stated in the Prime Minister’s Program for Week 44. The Prime Minister will travel to Lithuania on Sunday and Monday, November 3 and 4.

It was TV2 that first mentioned Erna Solberg’s visit to Lithuania.

According to the weekly program, the Prime Minister will attend a meeting of the European People’s Party (EPP) in Vilnius, as well as a bilateral meeting with Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis during the two-day visit.

The prime minister is visiting Lithuania in connection with a meeting of the EPP, which has been planned for a long time. When she is in Lithuania, it is natural to simultaneously meet the country’s prime minister. The meeting is not related to the Frode Berg case, writes State Secretary Rune Alstadsæter (H) in an SMS to NTB.

The Lithuanian news agency BNS reported on October 16 that Russia and Lithuania agree to exchange two Russians against two Lithuanians and one unnamed Norwegian convicted in Russia. Frode Berg is the only Norwegian to sentence a spy in Russia.

The Lithuanian parliament will consider a bill on November 7, which, if passed, could make it easier for the country to extradite Russians.
