A man in his 40s has been charged with the sexual abuse of about 40 dogs. For a period of ten years, he is said to have abused both his own dogs and the dogs he cared for.

This is the second case of abuse of dogs in a short time in Sør-Rogaland District Court, the newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad writes.

In September, a man in his 30s was sentenced to 60 days in prison for sexually abusing three dogs. The man confessed.

The man in his 40s, who is now accused of sexually abusing 40 dogs, has also pleaded guilty.

The man is charged with, among other things, a gross violation of the Animal Welfare Act. The penalty for such an offense is three years in prison.
