SSB: Close to 5 million passengers used Norwegian airports in August
There were 4.9 million passengers at Norwegian airports in August. That is 80% more than the same month last year, new figures from Statistics Norway show.
Compared to August 2020, the number of passengers increased by 158%, according to figures from Statistics Norway (SSB).
The increase was greatest for international flights. The number of passengers on flights to and from abroad was 2.1 million in August, an increase of 235% compared to the same month the previous year.
At the same time, there were 2.8 million passengers on domestic flights, which is an increase of 34%.
