Last year, there was a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions in Norway of 0.3%, according to preliminary figures from Statistics Norway (SSB).

The figures show that greenhouse gas emissions in Norway last year amounted to 49.1 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents.

The SSB states that it is important to emphasize that the figures are preliminary.

It is common for the total change from the previous year to be adjusted up or down by 0.5% in the final figures.
