Oslo police district operations manager Steinar Hausvik gave statement to NTB of the attack, saying “The man arrested was held by citizens at the location until police arrived.”

POLICE FIRST-AID
Oslo police patrol were first to respond, giving emergency first-aid to the woman until the ambulance staff arrived. She was taken by emergency ambulance to Oslo University Hospital Ullevål.

The woman received emergency, life-saving surgery Sunday evening.

Sara Fredriksen, spokesperson for Ullevål spoke with Norwegian News Agency, (NTB) saying that the woman is facing life-threatening injuries; “We won’t have any further details about the person’s involved or of the alleged attack,” said Fredriksen.

Witnesses at the scene were first to tell NTB that the stabbing happened inside the Oslo bar known as Tiffani Café at Behrens’ gate 2.

That report was later confirmed by police spokesman Hausvik.
