Stabbing incident in Bergen: A man in his 20s ends up in hospital after being attacked

A man in his 20s has been sent to hospital after a stabbing attack in Håkonsgaten in Bergen on Wednesday night. The police have not yet made any arrests.

The Western Police District was notified of the incident at 10:46 PM, and was on-site with an ambulance shortly after, the police stated in a press release.

According to the police, the victim had cuts on several places on his body but was conscious and talking to both ambulance personnel and the police on the spot. He has been taken to Haukeland University Hospital for treatment.

“These are not life-threatening injuries,” operations manager Frode Kolltveit in the Western Police District told news bureau NTB.

There were no perpetrators at the scene, and the police have not arrested anyone during the night. The cause of the incident is unknown, and it is unclear whether the victim and the attacker knew each other. The case is being investigated.
