Last year, Norway again registered net immigration growth after a decline in the corona year 2020.

Last year, 54,000 people immigrated, while 34,300 emigrated. This is around the 2018 level, Statistics Norway (SSB) writes.

Immigration has prevented population decline in many Norwegian municipalities for years, and last year, 58 municipalities had positive net immigration due to immigration, up from 41 the year before.

Last year, net immigration from Poland was on a par with 2015, with 8,000 immigrants and 1,800 emigrants. There was also a marked increase in immigrants from countries such as Lithuania, Spain, and Lebanon.
