Stavanger: 40 new corona cases registered in the last 24 hours

A total of 40 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Stavanger in the last 24 hours. In six of the cases, the route of infection is unknown.

Stavanger Municipality states that 33 of the cases are close contacts and that one has an uncertain source of infection. For the remaining six, the source of the infection is unknown.

Three of the infected are under ten years old, while another 14 are under 20. A total of 1,030 people tested themselves in Stavanger on Monday.

The infection rates in the Municipality soared on Monday compared to the last few days.

Local authorities will discuss the infection situation and assess the need for any new measures on Tuesday afternoon.
