A man in his 40s has been sentenced to one and a half years in prison for touching and exposing himself to five girls in the neighborhood where he lived in Stavanger.

The man was convicted in Stavanger District Court for carrying out sexual acts with children under 16 years of age.

The accused claimed he was innocent.

He believed the actions were misunderstood situations, accidents during play, and imagination from the victims.

“My client and I will now review the verdict carefully and then decide whether it should be appealed,” the defendant’s lawyer Ørjan Eskeland told newspaper Aftenbladet.
