Stavanger: Man in his 70s dies after tree he was trying to cut down falls on him

A man in his 70s died at Stavanger University Hospital after being hit by a falling tree in Flekkefjord on Saturday, the Agder Police District announced.

The accident happened while the man was felling a tree in Gyland in Flekkefjord on Saturday, the police stated on Twitter.

The man was felling a tree on private property and was found by his wife with the tree on top of him, according to newspaper Fædrelandsvennen.

The relatives have been notified, according to the newspaper.
