Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (AP) says that it is not relevant to introduce new national corona measures at the moment.

Støre told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that the government is carefully assessing the corona situation with the health authorities and drawing the necessary conclusions.

“But national measures are, basically, not the answer today,” he said.

He believes it is more effective to have local measures. He reminds people to stay home when they are ill and that those who have not yet taken the vaccine do so.

“Those over 65 should take the third dose,” Støre added.
