Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will visit Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Thursday.
“I admire President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people for their courage and for the way they continue to defend their country against Putin’s unprovoked and illegal war,” Frederiksen said in a statement.
“I look forward to the meeting with Zelenskyy, and my message will be that Denmark will continue to help Ukraine. The West stands together to support the Ukrainian people.”
Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre will not travel to Ukraine.
“There are currently no plans for that,” the Prime Minister’s Office informed NTB.
