In a new study, Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine has been shown to be 96% effective against COVID-19 among people from 12 to 17 years old.

The results come from the company’s first clinical trials on people in this age group.

A total of 3,235 people participated in the study, which was conducted in the United States. Two out of three received the vaccine, while a third received an injection without a vaccine – as a control group.

The study also concluded that the participants tolerated the vaccines well. The side effects were mild or moderate and consisted of headache, fatigue, chills, and muscle pain – the same side effects that have been reported in adults.
