Summer temperatures on the way to southern Norway

Next week, summer temperatures will be approaching several locations in southern Norway. In some places it could get up to 20 degrees.

“A high pressure system appears to be coming to the southern part of the country. The high-pressure center, which is now a little outside Western Norway, will move eastwards and will be positioned over southern Norway for much of the week. This means that temperatures will be fine,” says meteorologist Per Egil Haga at the Meteorological Institute to Aftenposten.

Trøndelag has been characterized by cloudy weather lately, and it is expected that the weather will now improve. To the north, however, there is expected to be cloudy weather and somewhat cooler spring temperatures.

“It is often the case when there is high pressure over the southern part of the country, then it becomes a westerly weather system in the north. It seems that the weather systems will meet somewhere around Helgeland,” says Haga.
