In the last year, 40% of all girls in upper secondary schools in Norway have been subjected to unwanted sexual attention or harassment.
For boys, the corresponding figure is 24%, the recent Ungdata survey shows, according to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
“This is a confirmation of something we already know. We have seen higher numbers before, from NTNU, up to 60%,” subject manager Kjersti Botnan Larsen at the Children’s Ombudsman told the channel.
The questions in the survey revolved around sexual harassment, spreading rumors, and touching.
