Suspected corona-infected electric scooter driver hits woman in Oslo

A woman was hit by a man driving an electric scooter in Grønland in Oslo on Thursday night. Police have arrested the driver, who is also suspected of breaking corona isolation rules.

The man was arrested in Vaterlandsparken after disappearing from the place where the incident took place, the Oslo Police District wrote on Twitter.

“The suspect has been arrested and is suspected of violating COVID isolation,” the police added.

The woman was taken to the emergency room with minor injuries. Operations Manager Rune Hekkelstrand told newspaper VG that the suspect is a man in his 30s.
