It will be forbidden to pass out of Norway and into Sweden on 19 roads as of Tuesday. The traffic will be referred to other border crossings.

The transitions in question are in Dalarna and Värmland, Swedish police say.

The border crossings that will remain open are: national road 66 at Stöten in Dalarna, E16 at Lekvattnet in Värmland, national road 61 at Eda in Värmland, and E18 at Hån in Värmland.

“At the other border crossings in the Bergslagen police region, there are signs informing people about the entry ban and referring them to the open crossings,” the police report.

The decision is valid until March 31.

With some exceptions, the Swedish authorities have introduced an entry ban from Norway in connection with the corona pandemic – valid from January 25 to March 31.

A number of border crossings from Sweden to Norway have also been closed.
