Sweden will offer corona vaccines to children between the ages of 12 and 15 during the autumn, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven stated on Thursday.

“We will return to a more normal life only with the help of the vaccines,” Löfven said at a press conference on Thursday.

“Therefore, I will address those who have doubts or have not taken the vaccine directly: Book an appointment today,” he stated.

Over 73% of Swedes aged 16 and up are now fully vaccinated.

But the differences between different social groups are significant. Younger people, people with low income, and people born abroad have not been vaccinated to the same extent as others.
